STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE GROUP OF 77 AND CHINA BY H.E. AMBASSADOR IBRAHIM MIRGHANI IBRAHIM, HEAD OF THE DELEGATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SUDAN, AT THE THIRD MEETING OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES (COP), CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES TO UNFCCC SERVING AS THE MEETING OF THE PARTIES TO THE KYOTO PROTOCOL (CMP), JOINT HIGH-LEVEL SEGMENT, SEVENTH MEETING (COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, 16 DECEMBER 2009) (Copenhagen, Denmark, 16 December 2009)

Mr. President,

On behalf of the Group of 77 and China, we would like to support the statement made by Brazil, China and India.

The process that we agreed upon according to the Convention, the Kyoto Protocol and the Bali Action Plan has to be Party-driven, bottom-up, transparent, double-track process, and our Group - it is not respectful for us - is not ready to accept or rubber-stamp a text or texts coming out of the blue.

I thank you, Mr. President.
