Excellencies,
I have the honor to deliver this statement on behalf of the Group of 77 and China.
First of all, please allow me, Distinguish Co-facilitators, to express our appreciation on behalf of the Group for convening this constructive consultation process aimed at enhancing synergies and coherence between the work of the General Assembly as well as the subsidiary bodies aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We regret that due to the restrains of time in the Agenda, we could not approach this matter during the G77 meeting at ambassadorial level, held February 28 2017, and we look forward to discuss this theme in a future opportunity.
The Group, based on its principles, would like to make the following comments:
The implementation of the 2030 Agenda is the most relevant issue for developing countries. In this regards, our common focus should be the alignment of the efforts to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, recalling the highest priority of eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, with the General Assembly and the UN Charter Bodies specific mandates.
The Group is of the view of enforcing synergies, while carefully analyzing overlaps, preventing the elimination of important substance from the existing agenda items. Working on the same theme in different levels does not necessarily mean duplication or overlap, issues can be considerated through out different perspectives. We need to focus on gaps and quality resolutions at all levels.
The Group believes that this constructive process should be further explained for better understanding. All views of the universal membership of the United Nations should be taken into consideration, safeguarding the rights of all States.

Tengo el honor de pronunciar esta intervención en nombre del Grupo de los 77 y China.
En primer lugar, permítanme distinguidos co-facilitadores, expresar nuestro agradecimiento en nombre del Grupo por organizar este constructivo proceso de consultas, dirigidas a mejorar la sinergia y coherencia entre la labor de la Asamblea General, así como con los órganos subsidiarios alineados con la Agenda 2030 para el desarrollo sostenible. Lamentamos que debido a la limitación de tiempo en el orden del día, no pudimos abordar este tema durante la reunión del G77 a nivel de Embajadores, celebrada el 28 de febrero de 2017; y esperamos discutir este tema en una futura oportunidad.
El Grupo, basado en sus principios, quisiera hacer las siguientes observaciones:
La implementación de la Agenda 2030 es el tema más relevante para los países en desarrollo. En este sentido, nuestro objetivo común debe ser la alineación de los esfuerzos para lograr los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, recordando como prioridad la erradicación de la pobreza en todas sus formas y dimensiones, a través de la Asamblea General y los organismos específicos, de acuerdo al mandato de la Carta de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas.
El punto de vista del Grupo es el de fortalecer las sinergias, al tiempo analizar cuidadosamente la sobreposición, previniendo la eliminación de importancia substancia de los ítems existentes de la Agenda. Trabajar sobre el mismo tema en diferentes niveles no necesariamente significa duplicación o superposición, los temas pueden ser considerados desde diferentes perspectivas. Necesitamos enfocarnos en las brechas y en la calidad de las resoluciones en todos los niveles.
El Grupo considera que este proceso constructivo debe ser explicado en detalle para un mayor entendimiento. Las visiones de la membrecía universal de la Naciones Unidas deberían ser tomadas en consideración, resguardando los derechos de todos los Estados.
