Impact:The project successfully built technical and institutional capacity for mushroom cultivation across the four participating countries. Through training workshops, knowledge exchange, and the development of cultivation protocols suited to local conditions, the project empowered farmers, particularly women and persons in vulnerable situations, with skills to produce mushrooms as a sustainable and high-nutrition food source. Demonstration farms and pilot activities helped disseminate best practices in low-cost, climate-resilient mushroom farming, thereby promoting food security, alternative income generation, and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The project's potential impact lies in its contribution to rural livelihoods, gender empowerment, and the diversification of agriculture, offering a replicable model for sustainable development in similar agro-ecological regions.
