Date and Venue: The meeting wil take place in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire, from 10 to 13 June 2008 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Foundation/Convention Centre. Participation is open only to representatives of the Member States of the Group of 77 and China.

To date, eleven sessions of IFCC have been held: IFCC-I in Manila, Philippines (23-28  August 1982); IFCC-II in Tunis, Tunisia (5-10 September 1983); IFCC-III in Cartagena, Colombia (3-10 September 1984); IFCC-IV in Jakarta, Indonesia (19-23 August 1985); IFCC-V in Cairo, Egypt (18-23 August 1986); IFCC-VI in Havana, Cuba (7-12 September 1987); IFCC-VII in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (31 July-5 August 1989); IFCC-VIII in Panama City, Panama (30 August-4 September 1993); IFCC-IX in Manila, Philippines (9-12 February 1996); IFCC-X in Teheran, Islamic Republic of Iran (18-23 August 2001); and IFCC-XII in Havana, Cuba (21-23 March 2005). 

Programme: The detailed programme of the meeting including the opening ceremony will be issued separately to the Member States.

A number of side cultural and artistic events will be organized on the occasion of the conference including suightseeing tours, exhibitions and concerts. A social/cultural programme will be issued separately.

Documentation: Background documents will be made available to all the Permanent Missions of Member States in New York prior to the meeting.

Working Languages: Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided in the official languages of the G-77 (Arabic, English, French and Spanish).

Local Transportation: Transportation connecting the hotels to the convention centre will be made available to all participants. A schedule of local transportation will be issued separately.

Arrival in Côte d'Ivoire: A welcome desk will be set up at the Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny Airport. All participants are requested to confirm their arrival date to the secretariat not later than 23 May 2008. Information regarding the date and time of arrival and the flight number should be provided in advance in order to facilitate reception at the airport as well as to coordinate other arrangements regarding the connecting domestic flights from Abidjan to Yamoussoukro. Special connecting flights will be made available to participants from Abidjan to Yamoussoukro on 8 and 9 June 2008. The schedule of these flights will be announced in due course.
